When
you start up CuteFTP the first window you will see is the FTP Site
Manager box. Click on Add Site.

On
the General tab enter the following:
- Site
Label as whatever you want to label your site for easy identification.
- Host
Address as www.localdial.com (for home members) or your subdomain.localdial.com
(for people with sub domains).
- UserID
- Your UserID (e.g. if your email address was jbloggs@localdial.com
it would be jbloggs).
- Password
- Your password just as if you were logging on.
- Initial
Local Directory - Look for or enter the path to the directory
your HTML files are stored in.
Also
check that Login type is set to Normal, Transfer type is set to
Auto-Detect, Host Type is set to Auto-Detect and Local Filtering
should be checked. All the other boxes should be empty.

On
the Advanced tab check that Port is 21, Connection Retries is 20
and all the other boxes should be either blank or greyed out.
Click
on Enter

Next
you will be returned to Site Manager. Find and double click on your
site label in the right box (e.g. 'My site'). Your computer will
now connect to the server ready for you to transfer your files.

A
new window will appear with your local directory and files on the
left and on the right your directory on the web server.

Your
files must be placed in the public_html directory. Double click
on the public_html directory to open it, the drag your files across
from the local directory on the left to the remote directory on
the right. The first file of your site MUST be saved as index.html
To
disconnect go to FTP then Disconnect.
