The
following will guide you through configuring Eudora Light so you can receive
emails through your Localdial.Com connection.
To
complete this set-up you will need your username, password and email address
to hand. These can be found on your initial invoice sent by Localdial.Com.
If you do not know where this is please call our technical support team
on 872872.
- Select
"Tools" from
the main menu
- Select
"Options"
from the drop down menu.
- In
the "Options"
window select "Getting
Started" from the left hand menu.

Complete
the following
- POP
account : username@mail.localdial.com
(please ensure this is typed in lowercase characters)
- Real
name :Your
full name
- Connection
Method : Check
the "Winsock (Network,
PPP, SLIP)" option.
Now
select the "Personal Info"
category and you will be presented with the following window :

In this
window type in the following information :
- POP
account :
userid@localdial.com
- Real
name : Your
Forename and Surname.
- Return
Address :
type your email address in this field.
- Dialup
username :
type your UserID in this field.
Once
completed select "Hosts"
from the left hand menu.

In this
window type the following information :
- POP
account : your UserID followed by the @ sign and then Localdial.Com,
so that it looks something like this : userid@localdial.com (please ensure
this is typed in lowercase characters).
- SMTP
: mail.localdial.com
Leave
the last two fields blank.
"Sending
Mail" is the next category on the list to check and amend,
this is shown below:

Type
the following information in this window :
- Return
Address : type your email address in this field.
- Leave"Domain
to add to unqualified addresses" blank.
- SMTP
: mail.localdial.com
- You
can leave all the boxes ticked here.
Finally
select the category "Advanced
Network".

- Check
"Automatically dial &
hang-up this connection" option. Leave this unchecked if
you are on a network.
- Select
your Localdial.Com Dial-up connection from the drop down menu.
- Type
your UserID in the "username"
field ( make sure it is typed in lowercase).
- You
can place a tick in the "Save
password" box if you do not wish to type it in every time.
- Click
on "OK" to
save the settings.
OK,
your software is now configured for Localdial.Com!
