Gospel/Secular Conversions

Many 'Soul' records of the sixties and seventies were secular remakes of Gospel standards. Later on some Gospel groups decided that one good turn deserves another and began the reverse process of converting Secular soul songs to gospel. The table below illustrates the songs that were released in both secular and gospel contexts and the artists who performed them.
